How can I get a discount rate at Hotel Sofitel in downtown Chicago?

Q. For 3 nights in April. Also any recommendations for Chicago hotels, near Michigan Avenue will be helpful.
Sure would l- o v- e to be able to afford the Sofitel tho.

A. Didn't see anything in Hotels.com for the Sofitel, but here is the search for a sample 3-day weekend in April for hotels near the Mag Mile. (Michigan Avenue)

Also, Hotwire seems to have a hotel for $89 a night on the same weekend I tried with Hotels.com. Hotwire tends to work pretty well if you stay above 3 stars on it.

What are some good hotels in downtown Chicago?

Q. I am going to be staying in Chicago for one night in a couple weeks and need a hotel to stay. I am 18 and I know that some hotels don't let people under 21 stay alone.
Are there any downtown Chicago hotels for under $150 that would be cool with someone 18 staying there?

A. Some downtown hotels accept 18 year old check-in, but they are not required by law to do so, it is a matter of hotel policy. If you want to make a reservation it will almost certainly require a credit card. This time of year some hotels will be booked with no rooms available so if you don't have a credit card available to make a reservation I would call the hotel's toll free number and ask what you should do to be assured of getting a room. Otherwise, if you know the hotel will have vacancies and you don't have a reservation you can just go to the hotel and check-in and use a credit card or also usually cash. If you use cash you will need to pay the entire room charge plus at least a refundable $50 deposit for each day you plan to stay. When you check-out you will get the deposit back. Most all the hotels have toll-free reservation numbers so you can call them with any questions you might have or you might have to call the hotel's Front Desk to get your questions answered. If you don't make a reservation you could ask the hotel if they anticipate having rooms available during the time of your visit, what is their check-in age, what is their policy with respect to cash paying customers and any other questions you might have.

The Inn of Chicago at 162 East Ohio Street, this hotel is about 1&1/4 mile from Union Station. This hotel is off Michigan Avenue across the the Chicago River from the Loop.

I'm a male room service server in an expensive Chicago hotel and get hit on nighty by men. What can I do?

Q. I'm 18 and have worked for a very high end Chicago hotel for the last 9 months. I have to deliver food on the evening shift to hotel guests. I'm very cute well built and I like to think very personable. I'm also straight. Yet men seem to think that its open season on me when I visit their hotel room. This makes me sick when some old guy hits on me. Women do this too but I'm less insulted. I have spoke to my employer and was told unless they make physical contact there is nothing they can do as it would be a he said she said situation. I suggested two servers go to the rooms as there would be another person there and the guest would be less likely do try something. I was told that would cost too much. Guys have whipped out their penis' (by accident, ha!) when I'm in their room and far worse. One guy was on his bed under a sheet and it was obvious he was hard. He was stroking himeself and wanted me to strip for him. Another guy last night asked me to pull my pants down so he could take a pic of my soft cock but it would be OK if I wanted to get hard too. He said he would be sure not to get my face in the pic. Oh really? how nice of him! What the hell!!! This is crazy that adults act this way. A. First of all, Iâm sorry for your trouble. What do you think of this ? One, leave the door ajar, unless you are doing that already. Two, know the guests name and speak it loudly, like âRoom Service Mr. Yukkâ, âwhere would you wish your tray, Mr. Yukkâ etc. If someone is disrespectful, you could smile, with a laugh, (showing even more confidence) as if surely they must be kidding, and say that your supervisor is checking on your rounds as this is your first night/week of working there and you are expected to be quick on your rounds. Hmm, not quick, best to say âefficientâ. Turn it back on them with confidence . Best to you. <3
