How early should we be on the street to get up front seats to the Macy's parade?

Q. Hello, my family and I are traveling from PA to go see the Macy's parade, and was wondering what time we should go out in the morning to get up front seats along the parade route. We are staying at the Edison hotel, so we are just a very short walk from 7th avenue. What I have been finding is to get upfront seats, you should start arriving around 5am. Is this true? Also if anyone has any other tips they would be greatly appreciated. Also does anyone know if the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center will be lite after the parade? Thanks!

A. The Rockefeller Tree has its own lighting ceremony and it's not until December 2.

For the parade people start lining up extremely early. In the Herald Square area, we've heard people line up the night before. They line up later further north.

Anyone stayed at the Edison Hotel in New York?
Q. Going to New York in November for my birthday, staying in the Edison Hotel for a few nights, anyone stayed here before and can tell me what it's like. Also, can anyone recommend a good steakhouse the city? Thanks!

A. I stayed at the Edison years ago... mid 90's or somewhere around there. It was okay, I mean nothing fabulous. The location is awesome. You could see Times Square from my room if you pushed your face against the window nd looked to the right! ;-) I remember the gift shop in there for some reason.

Don't know any steakhouses, sorry.

How to visit Statue of Liberty with three kids?
Q. Going to NYC for a day and my oldest kid wants to visit Statue. We are staying at Edison Hotel. How to we get there? Do we buy ferry tickets and if so do we buy them in advance and for what time

A. take the 1 train south ferry, I think to the Staute of Libery & Ellis Island the boat is 11.50 for adult 6.50 for kids

Any idea how far the london eye is from covent gardens?

How is the paris hotel in vegas?

Q. Hey guys for vacation im going to vegas in california. I am staying at somewhere called the paris hotel. I need to know who it is.
