Sister checking us into hotel, what happens at check out?
Q. My friend and I are 18, We know that a lot of hotels require you to be 21 to check in. Her sister is using her credit card to book us a room through one of the discounted hotel websites and she will check us in, but because of work she won't be able to check us out. Will we be ok to check out without her? A. Most likely. If she checks you in and uses her credit card to secure the room, then most hotels will simply had you a copy of the bill marked paid and you walk out. I've stayed in hotels thousands of times, and I can only recall a handful of instances in which I had to present the credit card to check out. In fact, in many hotels, they slip a copy of the bill under the door in the wee hours of the morning before you are scheduled to check out, and if it is OK, you don't even need to check at the desk before leaving - just leave the key in the room and walk out.
