I'm having trouble figuring out where we could go for a quiet weekend--we don't want to be surrounded by people and we would prefer to rent a small, beachfront house or condo rather than stay at a hotel. It's not just there fro the convenience of tourists; many people on Nantucket do their grocery shopping in Hyannis. Going to the registry means going into Yarmouth-the ferries are a lifeline. I don't know what you mean by "overpriced" because that is a matter of opinion, but they have a great village and they have a lot of hotels in the area, so you'll find what your looking for. I am a level 9 skier and they have a lot of great runs in Vail for all levels. They have a nice combination of blacks and double blacks, it's a huge mountain and will definitely take a good week to cover most trails. It also gets really good powder! It's not too crowded, but all mountains get crowder during the tourist seasons (near Christmas and spring break). All ski resorts have snow machines, so snowfall isn't too relevant. Vail has sev...
