Q. I plan on going to New Orleans at the end of may (around the 22nd) I want to stay close to Bourbon Street since I'm turning 21. It has to be walking distance since I will more than likely be there most of my trip. I dont really have a budget just dont want the hotel to be really expensive! Q. We are planning our honeymoon in New Orleans the last week of March. We'd like a hotel that has rooms w/balconies, (must have smoking allowed room!!!) in or very close to the French Quarter. Also locals or past visitor recommendations on the best things to see & do there. A. Most hotels in the Quarter are non smoking. But the best hotel for a balcony is Royal Sonesta and it has SOME smoking rooms. It is the best on bourbon. They have the best balconies on Bourbon st. As a local the best place for boiled crawfish without boiling them myself is Yo mama's bar and grill they boil crawfish and it is so good. It is across the street and few businness down from pat o's! Q. I learned about it on a ghost tour in the french quarter. Supposedly, it's haunted because of all the civil war soldiers housed there back in the day. Housekeeping will see blood all over the sheets, blink, and look back to see the sheets blood-free. I'm fairly certain it's not the Hotel Monteleone. A.
