What are some Chicagoans recommendations for things to do in the Chi?

Q. We are staying in the Chinatown Hotel. We are looking for inexpensive activities to do during our 4 day stay. Also looking for opinions on living in Hyde Park, Fuller Park, West Loop, and Back of the Yards. Thanks Chicago. A. Depends on when you're staying here. If you're coming here soon, it'll still be a little cold, so you'll probably want to do indoor stuff like the museums (which have free days ... call first), Navy Pier, etc.. You can walk through Water Tower Place, look at the stores and slowly start to feel really poor (just kidding). Don't know if you like to go out and party but the Metromix website has a list of bars with drink specials ($5 martinis, cheap beers and mixed drinks, etc.) Check out http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/barsandclubs/ and click on the little calendar thing on the right side called "bars and clubs deals" and they'll show the cheap bars. There are also a million little restaurants in the city with good, cheap ea...

Is 500gbp enough money for 4 nights in London?

Q. I already paid for the hotel (located near Hyde Park) and airline tickets so I'll have 500 gbp to spend. I'll be arriving at Stansted airport, I've heard I need to take a train called Stansted express and then underground. A. I highly recommend you to save those £500 on fine 'afternoon tea' in a posh hotel, which cost £90 max in Ritz Hotel, London for example. And go visit some really nice clubs on Saturday night from 11pm till 3am. (ID required to prove your age). The rest of the breakfast, lunch and dinner, you better keep them to sandwich (subway is the best, with enough balanced meat and veg to keep you going). I find that cuisines around London have a big range of quality. Most likely you are going into some random restaurants and regret it later. Book tickets online, cost you much cheaper if you have a destination in mind a week before. Where's a good hotel in london for around $150 a night? Q. I'd like to be no more than a 30 min metro ride f...

What is the poshest hotel in England?

Q. I am looking for a hotel for 12 of us to go to this year. We always go to places like Scarborough or Liverpool and we want to go to a very posh hotel. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thanks. A. Right now the hype is on the Dorchester. The Ritz and the Savoy probably have the best reputation, but they're for old money. If you want to see the richest, most ludicrously wealthy Russian/Arabic billionaires in the world, go to Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park or the Draycott Hotel. How much would a cab cost me from the Big Ben to Quality Crown Hotel Hyde Park (London)? Q. from :Bridge Street, London, SW1A, United Kingdom (Big Ben) to : 8-14 Talbot Square, Westminster, London W2, UK (Quality Crown Hotel Hyde Park) p.s. about 10- 15 mins in car A. Don't waste your money. Take the tube from Westminster (opposite Big Ben) to Edgware Road station, then 50 yards walk. Where should we stay in London? And Places to visit with young son.? Q. My partner and ...
