Q. We are going to Washington DC in June for just 2 nights, but my bf has never been and I haven't been in 7 or 8 years and we would like a nice trip together. What are some reasonably priced hotels that are centrally located or with in walking distance of the Monuments. We would love a great view of DC or one of the monuments but we can't afford some thing like the Hay-Adams. ha ha. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated! A. The Watergate, But really DC is a very sketchy place and i don't know i would say you are better off staying in Arlington and taking METRO you can get off directly at the mall and walking around from there. So i would have to recommend the Americana Hotel. It is close enough to METRO so you will be able to get into the city in a few mins. You should really go visit the 9-11 memorial at the pentagon or Arlington cemetery if you get a chance. Can someone suggest a Marriott hotel outside Washington DC? Q. I'm planing to take my two boys (ages...

Rooms start at about $700 a night. Any suggestions for a hotel (kids welcome) on the outskirts of Washington DC near a metro stop? Q. Looking for recommendations. We want to be able to walk to the metro from the hotel, hop on and head into Washington DC to explore the sites. A. A. There is no end to things to see in Washington DC, you can easily find something to do every day for weeks. Some obvious highlights: Government buildings (Capital, White House, Supreme Court, Library of Congress) are all excellent choices. Capital South Metro is probably the closest one to the Capital building, Supreme Court and Library of Congress...not sure about the white house. Monuments: At least see the famous ones (Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, WWII, Vietnam, Korea). With the exception of the Jefferson monument all of those are literally in a row. You can take the Metro to Federal Triangle (I think) and that is near Washington monument. From there just start walking towards Lincoln. WWII is on the way, Vietnam and Korea are left and ri...
