A. There are a lot of fun things to do in Austin or San marcos maybe. There is a bat watching cruise thing in Austin that is cheap that goes out on town lake, or there is inner space caverns which is really fun to do in Round Rock. There are a lot of places to shop at. There is also something called Wonder World in San Marcos near Austin. I have never been but it looks great. Also the cheapest hotel I have seen in Austin area is Red Roof Inn. Almost every town in the US has a Chamber of Commerce (A Chamber of Commerce's main function is to have listings of festivities, activities and local interest (museums, theaters, etc.) for that town/city (sometimes surrounding cities as well) available to locals and tourists. They are usually very helpful and nice). Put in Austin or Corpus Cristi (or another nearby city) Chamber of Commerce into a search engine, get a phone number and give them a call (ya, it will cost more then emailing, but it will be instant & don't know how soon you are leaving). 2.
