Are there any hostels in NYC that offer a single private room for one person?

Q. Most hostels have private rooms, but they charge you for two people a night. I stayed at Chelsea international hostel and the pod hotel, but I do not want to stay at them again. I searched all over hostels.com and I can't seem to find any more. I really don't want to spend more than $60 a night and plan on being there for like 4 or 5 nights. If anyone has any advice on other housing options I'm all ears. A. Here is a listing of the hostels in NYC. http://www.hostels.com/new-york/usa I'm sorry, but there just aren't any hotels/motels with a rate of $60 per night anywhere. There's a Motel 6 in Brooklyn. http://www.motel6.com/G6Maps/M6ProximityResults.aspx?state=NY This YMCA on W. 63rd offers rooms for rent. http://www.ymcanyc.org/association/guest-rooms/westsiderooms The Dr. Hirsch Residence of the YMHA also has rooms for rent.. Hotels accessible to New York City nightlife?

Q. I'm going into the city in October for a saturday night with a few girlfriends, and I wanted to book a hotel for the night. We were planning on hitting a few bars and clubs, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of hotels i might want to look into, and maybe even some places to check out. I'm not too familiar with the city. Also, there's a budget on the hotel, so if you have any suggestions, may it be one for under $225 a night. Thanks! A. I just got back from New York City last weekend. I stayed at The Pod hotel. It is under $225 a night. It is located right next to the 51st & Lexington ave subway. The rooms are modern and very clean. I stayed in the bunk room with my friend. It was $157/night with tax (I went through Hotels.com). We each had a 10in flat screen tv on each bed and their was an iPod docking station in the room. The bar next door was an awesome New York neighborhood bar. Times Square and Greenwich Village were only a couple stops away. Ho

My boyfriend and I are looking for a cheap hotel room in New York, preferably in either Brooklyn or Manhattan.

Q. I know it's probably next to impossible but we're trying to find something that's definitely under $200; that is NOT The Bates Motel. A hotel with CLEAN ROOMS, SHEETS, & hopefully a BATHROOM. If anyone knows of any please let me know. A. There is a new hotel called The Pod Hotel with tiny rooms (aren't they all) but clean & respectable. Check it out. If you stay in Brooklyn (or if not) be sure to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge going into Manhatten. An awesome view and something very different to do while in NYC. How much money should I bring for my trip to Japan? Q. Some friends and I are planning on making a good 3 month long trip to Japan. We are considering backpacking to save on hotel fee's, but aren't ruling out the possibility. Are there any hostels in Japan? How much money should each person plan on bringing to support themselves for the whole trip? A. Coming over, eh? I've been here for 3 years now, and I can't really say how mu

What is the nicest hotel to stay at in NYC, in the times square area.. that is under or around 250$ per night?

Q. Please only answer from experience of having been at the particular hotel.. Im able to look on expedia, and on sites for prices.. I want peoples personal experience of where they have stayed and what is nice and affordable -- thank you A. Rates at NYC hotels can change a lot depending on the day of the week, and the surrounding factors. Such as holidays, special events, conventions, ect ect. But recently I stayed at the Royalton for 245$ a night. Got upgraded to a deluxe room on the top floor. It was awesome! Very close to time square-- about a 10 or less min walk to the heart of the time square action. However, the last time I tried to get a room at the Royalton it was 450$ a night. FYI, AVOID THE POD AS MENTIONED ABOVE. Total dump. What are my rights concerning property stolen from my vehicle when in the possesion of a valet service? Q. I recently used a valet service while attending a conference at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, When my car was returned I was missing

how much will it round about for a 9 mile ride in a nyc taxi?

Q. going to nyc, and want to know about how much we are looking at for an about 10 mile taxi ride from our airport, (LGA), to our hotel (the pod hotel)... nebody got ne idea of an estimate? A. I used the fare calculator on http://www.nyccabfare.com and it said it should cost about $24.10 (about $28 with 15% tip) for a 9.3 mile trip. I don't think this includes the $5 toll you'd have to pay for the Midtown Tunnel. The route this shows is longer than necessary, as you can take Northern Boulevard to the 59th Street Bridge, which is shorter and you'll save $5 on the toll. Just don't blame me if there is a lot of traffic and you end up paying more (the cabs charge by the minute also if in traffic). You might want to ask the driver if the 59th Street Bridge is reasonable, and he might go that way without you saying anything. Usually the traffic isn't that bad but you never know and it could be bad during rush hour. You can save money by taking a city bus from the a

The Pod Hotel in New York City?

Q. Has anyone stayed at or known someone who has stayed at the pod hotel in NYC? What did you/they think? A. I have stayed at The Pod Hotel three times. I really like it. It's perfect if you are not planning on spending a lot of time in your room because the rooms are small, but they serve their purpose. They have free wireless internet too which was nice. Most of the rooms have shared bathrooms which I wasn't sure I would like at first, but all of the times I used them they were nice and clean. I have never had any problems there and I plan to stay there again because its so cheap. I hope this helps you. How much does it cost to stay in the pod hotel in nyc? Q. I am thinking about staying in a single room with a shared bathroom for 2 weekend nights in october. I haven't been able to find any rate information except that it is inexpensive. Any idea how much it might cost per night? A. According to their website, approx. $159.00 x 2 Nights. That is for the single room.
