Q. I wanted to take my 2 kids on a weekend getaway near Cleveland, Ohio. We don't have much money to spend. We just wanted to get away from the house for a couple of days to relax. Any ideas for an inexpensive vacation? I am just looking for maybe a nice hotel that they can swin or play or a nice little town to visit. The kids are 5 and 2. Thanks! A. Lake Farmpark and Mentor is an excellent suggestion if you haven't ever been there and don't live near Mentor. If you do go to Mentor, definitely take the kids to Mentor Headlands State Park, even if it's too cold for swimming. You could visit the Headlands Dune State Nature Preserve while there to show your kids what a natural beach looked like in Ohio. The city-owned Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina also would offer an enjoyable hike. Personally, however, I would consider Mohican State Park for a weekend trip because Mentor area attractions, which also include Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, would make g...

Q. I am planning on taking my daughter out of town next weekend, I need some suggestions for a quaint town within a couple hours from Cleveland, Ohio area. Hotel, Shopping, Food.
