Q. I'm thinking about getting married in Yosemite but after looking at park hotel photos I'm not sure which one would be the best. The Yosemite Falls Lodge seems to be more reasonably priced. Any other recommendations or reviews from people who have stayed at a Yosemite hotel? Thanks! A. Yosemite Falls Lodge is not where I'd have my wedding guests stay. It is older, run-down, and not esthetically pleasing. The Ahwahnee is by far the best, but very expensive! If you don't mind traveling 30 miles from Yosemite valley to the south end of the park, Tenaya Lodge is a beautiful place to stay and more reasonably priced than The Ahwahnee. Planning a trip in September for our anniversary, I really don't want to spend the extra money for a Disney Park hotel since we're traveling without the kid, but there are so many Good Neighbor hotels I'm having a hard time choosing one. I'm willing to pay for a better hotel, but 1500 for 4 nights ( the Grand Californian rate, yikes) is too much. Any opinions or suggestions out there? A. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa is for sure the hotel I would try to stay at for a romantic get away. Try to dine at Napa Rose. It is adult exlusive. Very nice. You can also see about sitting at the Chef's table. (That is special treat!) I would for sure book the couples massage at Mandara Spa. It is very romantic!!! You can also call (714) 781-GIFT and let them know it is your special get away and get treats or fun items or your room decorated. Q. Our chapter is attending a national conference at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotelâ in Washington DC and we have no idea how we are going to get from one place to another. Is there any buses, shuttles or trains? Thank you! A. The cheapest way would be to take Metro bus to the Rosslyn or West Falls Church Metro and then Metro to the hotel.
