I want to ask if there's any hotel in manila good for this. Thanks :D budget around 5k - 17k+ a room with dvd player :) btw, i'm also a metro manila resident :) A. I suggest the Victoria Court in Malati (there are several of them) I've stayed there many times and the newly remodeled rooms are excellant. Refrigerator, DVD/Karaoke, TV and cable, inhouse channel (wink wink). First class c.r , aircon and hot water. The double occupancy including kids rooms were P1570 6 mo. ago and include 2 free meals. Maybe you have to rent 2 rooms if there are several in your group. The security is excellant. No one can leave your room if (its a visitor) until the guard calls room to be sure all is ok. I think you can have several visitors but until what hour I'm not s...

How much money would I need to travel to the Philippines?

Q. I looked it up on Expedia.com and its about $2000 for round trip flight and hotel in Manila, but how much extra money should I bring for food and other things for about 5-7 days for 2 people? A. Food : 2 people can have a good, proper meal at P1,000 or P3,000 per day. That means P21,000 for 7 days, or US$466. You can cut that down to half if you eat in more modest restaurants, or spend less than a quarter of that if you have your meals in fast food chains. If you stay just 5 days, take the proportion from this 7-days budget that I estimated. Other things : This is vague. But if I assume just transportation cost, you could get by with P500 a day for the two of you, taking public transportation. If you will be taking taxis to nearby locations, then maybe you should budget P1,000 per day. That makes P7,000 for 7 days, or US$ 155. Any Manila Hotel with Jacuzzi in the Room Available? Q. Q. I am 42 and from Australia and she is 23 and from Manila. We have stayed at a couple of hotels in Manila before wth varying experiences. Is it possible to find a hotel that will accept that my girlfriend is a paying guest and recognise that she should be treated with the same respect as any other guest? We are in the process of finalising plans for us to return to Australia as a couple and I would like her to enjoy the same hospitality that any other Australian would be offered. A. Hey, congratulations on finding a beatiful Pinay. Honestly, if you are staying at a hotel, ou should make the reservation, but put the room under her name and ID card - that way the room is associated to her name - of course you will pay at the end and give your credit card for security. However, the best way to avoid the crappy looks that you will get is to rent a condo for short term. Just check Craigslist for rentals, I rent a condo everytime I go back anyway, You have way more freedom, it is ch...
