A good excuse to get out of horse-back-riding 6, And anything else you might think of! A. Some great places to visit on your trip are the Mackinac Island Butterfly House, Haunted Theatre, ride on a horse-drawn carriage, The Grand Hotel is very interesting to see. You'll want to go horseback riding at Mackinac Island State Park. There are plenty of hiking and biking tours available on the island. Joanne's Fudge is yummy. May Candy Shops has many flavors of fudge to eat, like Cherry, Rocky Road and Peanut Butter, to name a few. They are both excellent places for fudge. Some good malls are Surrey Hills, Lilac Tree Mall located downtown, and Carrousel Shops on Market Street. They have all the souvenirs and more that you'd want. As for what to pack, I'd be prepared for both fall and spring weather. I

Q. For Christmas, I'm planning to give my boyfriend a trip to Mackinac Island in Michigan. I've got all the planning done - hotel, ferry to the island, restaurant reservations, etc. - but now I need to think of a way to actually give him the present. Got to a crafts store and get a box of some sort that you could decorate. Or take an old shoe box and wrap the top and bottom parts seperately in wrapping paper.
