Getting to the city centre from the Airport is easy - just get a train from the airport railway station to Manchester Piccadilly. Trains should be every few minutes (at worst 15mins) during the day. It should take 10 - 15 mins to get to the city centre Getting to the Trafford Centre is probably quite a bit harder. You need to get the No 18 bus from the Airport to the Trafford Centre.
