Q. Somewhere with good night life, reasonable hotels and places a 7 year old would find interesting. This is supposed to be in July so maybe any island that has carnivals or any special festivals during that time. We have already been to the 3 islands excluded. Anyone know anything about Antigua especially? A. Puerto Rico has excellent nightlife!! In Old San Juan there are tons of bars & pubs, nightclubs, live bands, casinos & more! There is alwasy a festival going on in PR :) In July the Salsa Congress will be in PR & will be performing shows. Also there are patron saint festivals & carnivals of many towns in July like Rio Grande(el yunque rain forrest), Fajardo, Morovis, Catano, Barceloneta, Guanica, Vieques & Loiza. Many have parades, music, food & more. Planning a trip in September for our anniversary, I really don't want to spend the extra money for a Disney Park hotel since we're traveling without the kid, but there are so many Good Neighbor hotels I'm having a hard time choosing one.
