Can someone suggest a Marriott hotel outside Washington DC?

Q. I'm planing to take my two boys (ages 5 & 7) to Washington DC for a little vacation. I've never been before but I have a coupon for any Marriott hotel. I'd like to stay somewhere that has a pool. Can someone offer me a suggestion as to where I might be able to stay that's good for kids, has a nice pool, and has access to the Metro?

The Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington is quite safe, and is filled with restaurants and shopping arcades. Your boys might enjoy a meal at the Hamburger Hamlet restaurant, which is a nice sit-down place that is quite good with kids. There's also a small park with a water cascade that kids love to see and run around.

The Watergate, But really DC is a very sketchy place and i don't know i would say you are better off staying in Arlington and taking METRO you can get off directly at the mall and walking around from there. So i would have to recommend the Americana Hotel. It is close enough to METRO so you will be able to get into the city in a few mins. You should really go visit the 9-11 memorial at the pentagon or Arlington cemetery if you get a chance.
