A. for the cheapest rates, you need to get a casino card and show the casinos that you gamble a LOT. then they'll give you excellent room rates. If you want cheaper rates than normal, then try going mid week and off season. good luck.

What are some cheap Las Vegas off strip hotels?
Q. Im going to Las Vegas with a couple friends who have never been to Vegas. Unfortunately all the major strip hotels are booked or crazy priced. Does anyone know of any cheap hotels off the strip, within close walking distance. Somewhere between excalibur and treasure island. We wont be in the hotel besides to pass out drunk so dont need anything nice or expensive. Just lookn for somethn where we can walk the strip and then back to the hotel. Get it?

A. There aren't many that are off the strip that is 'close' for walking. Even if you found a cheap place on the strip, it is unlikely that you'd be up to walking the whole strip. We did that the first time we went, and wound up walking 4+ miles that first day because everything seemed 'close'.

I'd recommend Fremont Street. Most hotels are $50/night, if that depending on which day of the week you go. There is a bus that takes you up and down the strip, and you can buy a ticket for 24hrs, and takes about 10 minutes. In addition, gambling is better on Fremont.
