What are some good hotels in Washington DC?

Q. We are going to Washington DC in June for just 2 nights, but my bf has never been and I haven't been in 7 or 8 years and we would like a nice trip together. What are some reasonably priced hotels that are centrally located or with in walking distance of the Monuments. We would love a great view of DC or one of the monuments but we can't afford some thing like the Hay-Adams. ha ha. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated!

A. The Watergate, But really DC is a very sketchy place and i don't know i would say you are better off staying in Arlington and taking METRO you can get off directly at the mall and walking around from there. So i would have to recommend the Americana Hotel. It is close enough to METRO so you will be able to get into the city in a few mins. You should really go visit the 9-11 memorial at the pentagon or Arlington cemetery if you get a chance.

A. If you look for hotels in Old Town Alexandria near the King Street Metro Station, I think you'll enjoy it. Old Town Alexandria is full of shops and restaurants. It's a beautiful area. You walk to the metro... and go straight into DC.
