What train to get from manchester airport to trafford centre?

A. Getting to the city centre from the Airport is easy - just get a train from the airport railway station to Manchester Piccadilly. Trains should be every few minutes (at worst 15mins) during the day. It should take 10 - 15 mins to get to the city centre

Getting to the Trafford Centre is probably quite a bit harder. You need to get the No 18 bus from the Airport to the Trafford Centre. The service goes every 30 mins and takes about 1hr to get to the Trafford Centre (timetable is below)

Personally, I prefer the city centre, but different people have different tastes.

NOTE: I might have misunderstood Quizard's answer, however, there is currently NO Metrolink connection to the airport. The connection/station doesn't open for another 3 years. The Trafford Centre doesn't have a metrolink station either, and probably never will.
