A. The Hollywood Renaissance is a good hotel at the corner of Hollywood and Highland. Another good hotel is the Best Western Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood.

I also like to recommend the Universal City Hilton, which is right next to Universal Studios. You can hop on the Metro Red Line to Hollywood to see the sights there, and then you are close to the freeway so that you can get to the beaches.
