What is the Best Ocean Front Hotel in Maui?

Q. This might be a silly question considering it is Maui but which hotels have the best ocean view rooms? I want to be able to walk from the hotel right to the beach. I am going to different hotel sites but I am having a difficult time finding pictures of the rooms. Thanks everyone!

A. Kaanapali Beach Hotel near Whalers Village is very nice. They have great music every night in the back of the hotel and you can walk right onto the beach.

What is the difference b/w reserving a room on a website like hotels.com and calling the hotel?
Q. Do hotel sites get you a better rate? I don't understand how it works? Do I have to register or something?
I asked it here because no one goes to the sections that it recommended this go in.

Really, I'd have to give a deposit? Will I get it back. I don't want to do that...

A. Sometime you can get a lower price using a online booking, but they are usually less flexible about changing reservations and require a deposit using a credit card. I always call the hotel directly or check the hotels web site after finding what I want to make sure I am getting the best deal by using a booking service.
Price line is risky I have gotten some bad rooms with them, but also have been very satisfied
