What to do for a relaxing bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, CA?

Q. My friends and I are going to Palm Springs to celebrate a bachelorette weekend. However, places like Costas are not what we are looking for. A night club that is not so packed would be okay. Does anyone know of relaxing places or activities and possibly a descent, not so trendy, night club or bar to visit?

A. If you're going in the winter see a Palm Springs Follies Show. Essentially it's 70-90 year old former show girls and male professional dancers that put on a Las Vegas style show. It's surprisingly fun and the dancers could put most 20 year old's to shame.
Palm Canyon Drive is where the activity is in Palm Springs. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping. If you're driving in from Los Angeles stop into the Palm Springs Visitor Center. It's in what looks like a converted Mid-Century gas station. The people are really helpful with suggesting places to visit.
The only nightclubs I know of are for a gay clientele, although I'm sure nightclubs for straight people exist there. Palm Springs has as many old wealthy gay people as straight retirees.
There are plenty of straight bars in the swanky hotels and in the restaurants. You guys would probably like the Starlight Lounge, it's upscale and mellow.
Some of the remodeled Mid-Century motor hotels have cool poolside bar scenes. Check out the Hideaway, Orbit In, Desert Star (quiet, very nice), Del Marcos, Hotel California (Spanish mission architecture, cute), Ace Hotel (trendy) and the Movie Colony Hotel.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is worth a journey up the side of the mountain for much cooler weather.

What is the best hotel to stay at in Palm Springs for pool parties?
Q. My friend and I are heading to Palm Springs for Memorial Weekend...we are both single girls in our mid/late 20s and want to stay somewhere with a good pool party during the day...Ive heard that Hotel Zoso, Aces Hotel & the Rivera are all fun. Any ideas??

A. Trust me any of those Hotels should be ok and you can always check out the other ones for free right? Make sure you hit some of the downtown bars.

What are the best hotels to stay at in Palm Springs over spring break to party?
Q. I have been to Palm Springs a couple times and now as a college student on spring break I am wondering what the best locations are to sit by the pool and have a couple drinks....with other people around my age. I just would like some input before i book anywhere

A. For lots of options and advice try this site - http://www.hotelscombined.com/?a_aid=45702

Not only do they allow you to compare rates for all the major accommodation booking sites to guarantee the cheapest prices available, they also have loads of pretty honest reviews from people that have stayed in the hotels as well.
