where to shop for clothes near first house hotel in bangkok?

Q. we're going to be staying in the first house hotel in bangkok?

is pratunam market near that place?

is first house hotel near bayoike sky hotel?

what is the nearest place from first house hotel in where we can shop for clothes ?

thank you...

A. Walk out to Phetchaburi Road and you will find lots of street vendors. The Baiyoke Tower Hotel is not that far away. The soi leading up to the Baiyoke Tower Hotel is full of clothing discounters.

Look at this map link, the soi leading up to the Baiyoke Tower Hotel is almost across the street from the Panthip Plaza (computers/electronics mall.) Real easy to find and it is an easy walk from your hotel. http://www.bangkok.com/first-house-hotel-bangkok/#location

When you take a taxi in Bangkok to anywhere else, make sure you tell the driver to use the meter only! If you bargain the price of the fare you pay more. Also, wave a moving taxi down, avoid the taxi cabs parked near hotels - they usually want to bargain the ride. Meter taxi cabs will be cheaper than tuk-tuks. If a tuk-tuk driver offers you a deal of a free ride that will almost always mean they will take you to places to buy stuff where you pay more and the driver gets a commission.

Good luck.

Can you recommend me some good hotels in Bangkok, Thailand?
Q. Can you make me a list or something like that with the best and the cheapest hotels in Bangkok, Thailand please? Thank you very much!!!
OK so cheap means 200-300 euro for a three person room in the center of the city or as close as possible
200 euros/night with the extra bed included

A. Why don't you say where you want this hotel and how much you think "cheap" means? Cheap does not mean the same for everyone! Are you retired or are you in school or just out of school? Looking for nightlife or any specific area? A quick trip to a library so you can check out a travel guide or two would be helpful. Bangkok is a huge city!

There are around 659 hotels in Bangkok. Do you expect someone to list each and everyone?

If you are a kid or closer to school age - Khao San Road area. (No rail service KSR area.)

Slightly more mature and want to use the efficient city rail service - Sukhumvit or Siam area.

There are hotels that you can get to using cheap rail service from the airport.

Good luck.

Later. A price of 300 euros per night puts you in the luxury level. Like pulling teeth - how many nights is the 300 euros for? Is it per night or for 10 nights or more? A third person in the room just means you pay extra for that pull out/roll away bed. There is no one defined city center. There are popular areas that tourists stay at like Pratunam, Sukhumvit, river area and Siam, etc. If you will be shopping a lot choose Pratunam area. But for convenience of walking to many places maybe Sukhumvit or Siam will do. It is always better to say how much per night do you want to pay for a hotel room - converted to baht. (Cheap for me is a room around 600 baht that has A/C, hot water, private toilet, TV and maid service. This is around $20 US but I would not put my grandmother in some of these cheap places.)

Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit is a good buy at less than 300 euros per night. In the evening the streets are still full of tourists at 2 a.m. Easy walk to Skytrain service.

Sky Hotel in Pratunam area puts you right in the middle of Pratunam shopping. A little dead after 9 pm. Walk to shopping and vendors.

Do you know of a good hotel/motel in Bangkok?
Q. I'm looking for a nice hotel in Bangkok to stay at for 2 nights that isn't too far from the airport, isn't too expensive, and has a hot tub to help recover from 12 hour jet lag.
Please include a website in your answer.

A. Hi, there are hundreds over hotel/motel in Bangkok alone! So there are plenty to seek if you ask just like that. The better hotels, 4-5 stars standard will definitely have a nice and cosy room for you. If you want some pampaering, then Conrad Hotel, Shangi-la Hotel, Oriental Hotel, JW Marriot Hotel, Peninsula Hotel, Novotel stc all these provide you the best for your money.

The best is to see for yourself what you want. Go to www.asisrooms.com and check out the list there for Bangkok. You can read on the available facilities and services in the hotel/ Plus you get the rate for comparison and get a discount for net booking. Have ago.
