Does anyone know of any cheaper downtown Chicago Hotels that have in-room jacuzzis or whirlpool tubs?
Q. My wife & I want to to stay overnight in a downtown Chicago hotel for our anniversary next month. We'd like to get a room that has a whirlpool tub or jacuzzi in the room. I've been looking on line & it seems that most of the places that do have them are $350 or more. We have given ourselves a ceiling of $200. Does anyone know of any hotels where we could get that kind of room for that kind of money?
A. Nothing downtown is cheap...but I know of this place right outside of Chicago that have very nice jacuzzis suites {newly built} for very cheap. They have 2 different style rooms also, one has a smaller hot-tub and the other has a bigger hot-tub with a fire place. Both are very reasonable and a lot cheaper during the week days. {I prefer the fireplace rooms with the bigger hot-tub personally.}
Give em a call....They're right off of Harlem Ave and I-55.

Recommendations for Chicago hotels for sighteeing without a car.?
Q. Any ideas of names of Chicago hotels near all the sights...and less than $200 nightly? We will be there from August 5-7th and want to see the highlights, any tips as to what we should see?
A. There are dozens of great hotels downtown. I would recommend something near Millennium Park that way you will be within walking distance of about one mile or less to most of the sights and points of interest, and all of downtown on both sides of the Chicago River. Go to the following hotel booking website and put Chicago in the search box and the rest of your travel information, then choose Millennium Park as the landmark of your search, the hotels will then be listed in order of their distance from Millennium Park. http://www.hotels.com Choose hotels from this list and then go to a couple of other booking sights to see if you can get a better rate. I recommend these two: http://www.hotelscombined.com and http://www.kayak.com and remember you can also check for rates at the hotels own website, sometimes you will fine the best rate there.

A. Didn't see anything in Hotels.com for the Sofitel, but here is the search for a sample 3-day weekend in April for hotels near the Mag Mile. (Michigan Avenue)
Also, Hotwire seems to have a hotel for $89 a night on the same weekend I tried with Hotels.com. Hotwire tends to work pretty well if you stay above 3 stars on it.
