Where are some beautiful places to have prom in Nashville?

Q. I need beautiful locations with big spaces I already have a few ( the hermitage, Hutton, Loews, Parthenon, Sheraton music hall, downtown Sheraton, and LP Field) But the committee is bitching about not wanting it in a hotel because we had it at the Fontanel Mansion....not a mansion its the U.S.'s largest log cabin and they feel if we have it in a hotel it will be downgrading....but I'm adding hotels in the list anyways. I'D APPRECIATE THE HELP

A. Take a look at http://www.eventective.com/USA/Tennessee/Nashville/Party-Reunions.html. Some other ideas would be Country Music Hall of Fame, Cheekwood (outdoors), Opryland Resort, The Frist, etc. However, none that you have listed or these will be inexpensive. And some may not allow proms at all. Watch for the maximum capacity because this is an absolute number due to fire regulations.

Nashville hotels downtown?!?
Q. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Nashville, TN? I'm doing a girls weekend (age 25ish) down there and we don't know where to stay. Has anyone stayed at the Hutton? Are there restaurants nearby and how bad is the walk to the bar scene?

A. I just wrote a travel article on my weekend in Nashville. We stayed in the Comfort Inn downtown. It was cheaper but clean and in a really good location. It is a close to the District, if you're into nightlife activities. Also, Centennial Park downtown is great, the Hermitage is perfect if you are into history, and then there is a winery just outside of Nashville. Check out my article for details and pics. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1627741/a_weekend_in_nashville_theres_more.html?cat=16

Hotel in Nashville Area... Hotel Preston, Hotel Indigo, or Hutton Hotel... please help from out of town?
Q. wanting to stay at a place that isn't your run of the mill hotel... would prefer on-site restaurant but not neccesary.

Any suggestions are appreciated!!

A. Definitely go to Trip Advisor. As far as these three hotels, there's really no choice; I know all three. Hotel Preston is out by the Airport. Looks like a cheap imitation of a boutique hotel. Indigo is a Holiday Inn product. Not bad, but not well run. Hutton is terrific. New, really beautiful. Reasonably priced. Great location. It's restaurant, 1808 Grille, is really good and reasonable. Hutton is the best choice, by far.
