How much does a good trip to Bangkok cost?

Q. What would a good trip to Bangkok including airfare and hotel for say 5 days cost roughly?

A. I just paid $1205, round trip from LAX to Bangkok via Tokyo on Northwest.

Is it expensive to call a local Thai phone number from a hotel room in Thailand?
Q. I want to use a calling card that requires you to call a local number in Bangkok. Is using the hotel phone going to be expensive for this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

A. Yes it is more expensive.

How much money do I need while visiting Bangkok for two days?
Q. Hotel with breakfast already payed for 2 nights/mornings.
Plus I am english speaking with no Thai language. Should I learn some?

A. If the hotel is already paid for ..then the rest will be for your personal expense.

Airport transfer by metered taxi at 4th flr to downtown could not cost more than 250 - 300 Baht.

Eating at a restaurant cost you around 100 - 200 ..depends on your delicacies.

A visit to the grand palace is one of a must see..entrance fee is 250 baht plus a ticket to get into the royal regalia museum and Vimanmek Mansion.

Taxi to get around start at Baht 35 and next depends on distance.

So..i think Baht 1,000 - 2,000/day is enough to have comfortable holiday in Bangkok.
