Where are the standard rooms located in the Stratosphere Hotel?

Q. Are the hotel rooms located in the tower itself??? Or in a building on the side of the Stratosphere tower? I've never actually looked at the tower up close, but I don't recall ever seeing windows along the sides of the tower.

A. The rooms at the Stratosphere are not located in "THE" tower, they are however located in towers.

The Stratosphere "World Tower" rooms are their standard ROH rooms - It was the tower that opended with casino in 1996. The new "Premier Tower" rooms opened 3 years ago or so. The Stratosphere also has some very nice suites at very reasonable prices.

What happened to the webcam on the Stratosphere Tower Hotel?

Q. I was looking at some pics and saw a litttle banner that said "smile you are on a stratosphere webcam". I looked on the website and there was no webcam. Also, are the World Tower rooms right behind the big tower?

The last time I stayed at the Stratosphere was June of 05. We stayed in the World Tower, the view was to the West overlooking the parking garage(If my memory serves)

would hypothetical emergency tsunami flood buildings be feasible at coastal towns?

Q. i've read that evacuating people to higher ground instead of the area will cut the casualties from thousands to hundreds. it made me think of an idea for emergency high rise tsunami buildings at populated coastal towns and resorts. they could build a high capacity version of the world's fastest elevator (same one they use at the stratosphere hotel in vegas, which goes up over hundred floors in seconds). what are your opinions on this idea good or not good? =)
the article that pointed out it would be better to evacuate people to higher ground would indicate high standing buildings most likely could withstand a tsunami. as for financially, yes it would be alot but it's for a good cost, the expense of saving more lives.

A. Dear friend staying at high floor is advisable for Tsunami but dangerous for earthquakes. Unless we decide that the earthquake wave has generated Tsunami we can not advice the people to move to high ground. Just close observation of the situation will help to decide the possibility of Tsunami attack.
