Tropicana vs Stratosphere hotel in Vegas?

Q. Regardless of their location, what would be a better option (clean, good customer service, better restaurants etc) between stratosphere hotel and Tropicana Hotel? I figured out both of them were cheap and have good reviews.

A. Definitely Tropicana because the have remodeled rooms that are practically new and the service is better. Tropicana also has a great pool, in case you are in Vegas summer time.

What is the closest mall by The Stratosphere?

A. Just go up the street to Treasure island and Wynn where across the strees is Fashion Show Mall

Is the Stratosphere Hotel in walking distance to the strip?
Q. Im from Ny and am goin to Vegas in like 2 weeks and im used to walking everywhere, but im hearing that the reason the stratosphere is cheap is b/c its so far from the strip and thats where i plan on staying.Can i walk it?

A. It is in a nasty neighborhood and is too far to walk. Here is a map of the casinos. Try to get central but cheap -- something like Harrahs, Flamingo, or at worst, Imperial Palace. Cant be much more expensive and you'll enjoy the strip much more.
