Q. Ive just been emailing some hotels in turkey about summer work,
one of the managers emailed back asking if Ive got permission to work in Turkey?

I really don't know what to say! Im only 17...

So do you need permission to work in Turkey or is it ok if Iv'e just got a eu passport? (Im British)

A. Since Turkey is not in the EU, you need to get a visa/work permit from the Turkish embassy to work in Turkey. This is the same for Turks who want to work in any of the EU countries, they would need to get a visa/work permit from that countries embassy.

I'd suggest that you only apply for jobs in EU countries. It can be very difficult to get a visa/work permit for non EU counties.

A. In the USA, we have to get work visa's. This allows us to work in foreign countries for a certain period of time. They do require renewing. I'm not sure how you british people do it, but I would talk to either the post office or the government. Make some calls and see what kind of photo ID's and other documentation you need to obtain a work visa. You already have your passport so that's all good. Good luck!

Me and my girlfriend are planning to go to Turkey in mid July this year. I was wondering if our age' would be a problem. I am currently 16 but will be 17 by then and she will only be 16. So will this be a problem? And if so, how can we get around this?
