What hotels in downtown Chicago have 2 person/jacuzzi tubs in-room?
Q. I'm looking to book a hotel in the downtown area of Chicago...do any of the major chains like Hilton, Embassy Suites, Marriott, etc. have 'suites' that include a tub/jacuzzi that accommodates 2 people?

A. Hotel Monaco 225 N Wabash Ave. has a Rock and Roll Suite with a 2 person jacuzzi tub or a Tranquility Suite with a 2 person sunken tub. The Allegro Hotel 171 W. Randolph St. also has a King Suite with 2 person Jacuzzi tub. These two hotels are Kimpton Hotels. Also, you could check with The Fairmont Chicago at 200 N Columbus Dr., they may have a few suites with "oversize" jacuzzi or whirlpool tubs. Don't know of any others downtown. China Doll Guest House in the Lincoln Park Area of Chicago has double Jacuzzis in all their rentals.

What is the best hotel under 200 dollars a night in San Francisco?
Q. Looking for a place close to the tourist stuff. Need a room for two adults.

A. According to the U.S. Census, the population of Cincinnati, Ohio is less than 300,000 (with a metropolitan area of 2.1 million). The population of San Francisco is more than 800,000 (with a metropolitan area of 7.4 million). That is more than a slight mathematical error. And the comparisons to international cities don't come out of nowhere. Due to the presence of several large banks, Silicon Valley, and the ports, the Bay Area is the third wealthiest region in America in terms of GDP.

In any case, most hotel rooms in San Francisco can accommodate two adults quite easily. You can usually get a nice 4-star room in a central location during the winter for around $200. The Parc 55 offers competitive rates:

For a 3-star, I would try the Triton (Kimpton) or one of Joie De Vivre's many hotels in that class:

If you are willing to use a discount site (Hotwire, Priceline), you can probably get a Marriott, Hyatt, or Westin for well under your limit. The downside to using these sites is you won't find out which hotel you actually got until after payment. And absolutely no changes are allowed. Examine the regular prices and reviews very carefully before committing to a bid. If you want a central location, I would look in the Union Square area first. Then you can try SoMa, Nob Hill, and the Financial District. I would only go to Fisherman's Wharf as a last resort.
