how long does it take to drive from LA to Boston?

Q. My friend is moving to Boston and we're planning on driving out there. How long would a fairly relaxed journey take?

A. I just looked it up. Going from LAX (Los Angeles Airport) to Boston Mass will be 3060.1 miles. And approx 47 hours. I would say about 55 hours for rest stops added then. And that is driving straight through w/ no hotel breaks. Hard drive though. Make sure your car is in good condition. You might be better off flying. Would be cheaper.

Can You Recommend Boston Hotels in Walking Distance from T Subway Stops?
Q. I'm planning a trip to Boston to see a concert at the House of Blues. To avoid renting a car, I'd like to take the 'T' everywhere. What hotels could anyone recommend that are close to 'T' stops (in walking distance), and preferably somewhere en route from Logan Airport to the House of Blues? Could also catch a show at the Wang Theatre. Affordability is also a consideration for me. Thanks.

A. My God! The T runs everywhere; almost all lodgings are located near a T station.

Within short walking distance of the House of Blues are the Buckminster ("moderate" by Boston standards), The Commonwealth (expensive) and a Howard Johnsons (moderate). Across the street from the Wang is a new W hotel, and next door is what used to be a Wyndham but the name may have changed, and the Park Plaza is a 5 minute walk.

What are some of the best places to eat in Boston/New York?
Q. My senior class is going to NYC & Boston. We want to go out to eat somewhere fancy in both cities, somewhere that is just so good that everybody talks about it. We are looking for something in the $60-80 (per person) price range. Any ideas?
