Q. I am trying to get a room for my cousin and I for Anime Expo 2009, which is July 2 - July 5. I wanted to know if there were any cheap hotels or motels near the Los Angeles Convention Center. Also, my cousin is 13, is that considered child or adult when booking a hotel? The quality of the hotel is not important to me, just the price. I tried getting the Holiday Inn near the Convention Center but it's fully book for the dates that I wanted.

A. If you're not getting valet parking, an option would be Pershing Square Mall - parking is free but you need to have it validated by one of the shops inside. The other alternatives would be the private garages along W 6th St and the one along S Hill St. Cheapest I think is Athena parking 2 blocks away from Biltmore along S Grand Ave. I hope this helps.
