Any cheap hotel in new jersey close to The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island?

Q. The bridge is starting line for New York Marathon 2007 and i want to stay at the hotel in new jersey which is close ( 30 min in bus or MTA is fine) to the starting line.

A. Not sure if it's close enough for ya, but there's a Econo Lodge that's probably got some decent rates in Elizabeth, NJ

How do I find cheap hotels down the jersey shore?
Q. I'm looking to go down the shore this spring break, and I've looked up hotels to see how much it would cost. Does anyone know how to get the cheapest rates - i'm not looking for a fancy hotel or anything - just somewhere to shower and sleep. We're interested in the wildwood, seaside or pt pleasant area. Also, there's 5 of us do u know if they would let us get a room w. 2 double beds or even smaller? thanks

A. There is no such thing as a cheap hotel in NJ at Spring Break...trust me...I live here...

Good places to stay at the jersey shore?
Q. Me & some friends want to go down to the Jersey Shore for a night (we can only do a weekend night) at a relatively cheap price. There are about 8 of us, and then 2 parents. We want to rent a hotel/motel room 1 for us and 1 for the parents. Any good cheap hotels/motels you know us in Seaside Heights?

A. Everything goes up on the weekends around here, gas and hotels, esp. You're best bet for cheap would be off island. Or travel a little. Here's a list of hotels along the shore(not just the seaside area, tho)

You can look through the lists and see what fits your budget. If you do take a place off island, you'll want to wake up early to get to the beaches without dealing with tons of traffic or closed(filled) parking lots!
