What are some really good San Diego hotels?

Q. I'm trying to find some good info about San Diego. I found the Hotel Del Coronado which is the best hotel in San Diego... but how much is it? It's obviously expensive, but how much would it be for a fam of 5? Also what is a family hotel that's in San Diego that's also really good and not overly priced? HELP! Thanks!

A. I have stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado and it is wonderful. It can get pretty pricey but if you are ok in staying in a smaller room than it is not to steep. I have a family of 5 and we fit fine in a room with 2 queens and a cot. And if you do stay there, make sure that you stay in the old part not the new part. The old part is classic and part of the experience

Another fun place is the hilton downtown in the gasslamp district. It is fairly priced. Also, Humphrey's Half Moon In is a bargain and it is right on a bay! Any of these places would work well for your family.

Hilton- 250 a night
Coronado- 365 a night
Humphrey's -200 a night

How is the Del Coronado at Christmas?
Q. I'm thinking about spending christmas at the Hotel Del Coronado. Is it nice and festive?

A. It is absolutely beautiful the christmas buffet is fantastic the weather is perfect just step out one of the front doors and you are on a wonderful safe beach. It is quite expensive however but worth every penny we think.
