What is the cheapest lodging in the Bahamas?

Q. I am going on vacation to the Bahamas for one week and need to know what the best bet is for cheap lodging. I don't care how glamorous it is, I'm not picky at all, just flat out what is the cheapest place to stay? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A. The bahamas is made up of 700 islands and over 2000 cays. I'm assuming you are flying into Nassau.

If this is true, there are cheap alternatives.. keep in mind, you get what you pay for. In a country where most hotel rooms run from $250 - $1600 a nite, a "cheap" room is really pretty meager.

Towne Hotel, Grand Central, Arawak Inn, Netties Place and Mignon House are all very cheap. They are not on the water, but are within walking distance.

If you are looking for water front, (not on the beach, but across the street), Nassau Palms, quality Inn and Orange Hill are relatively inexpensive. Again.. keep in mind these are not up to most peoples standards.

What is the cheapest lodging for traveling?
Q. I'm planning to visit Victoria (Canada) in December for a few day, maybe a week tops. What is the cheapest lodging I could find for that? I've never traveled on my own before, so I don't know whats available out there. Inn's, hotels, motels, hostels... are there any other types.. and what is the cheapest one?

A. "Hi"....Victoria has some good and safe youth hostels that are excellent and relatively inexpensive (and cheapest ) and they certainly have my endorsement !

Here's a few.......

These all all downtown Victoria so withing walking distance to the Parliament buildings, Inner Harbour, Museum , Whale Watching tours , Pubs and eateries etc. etc.

Hope that helps ya and a "Welcome" to Victoria ! *S* (Michael C...)

Where can I find cheap lodging in Tokyo?
Q. I need cheap lodging for 3 months in Tokyo. The closer to Shinjuku, the better. Thanks.

A. For 3 months, a hotel will defintely not be the cheap way to go. You should look into an international house, or the like.

Tokyo will not be cheap, anywhere, and Shinjuku will be the highest priced area. You can commute to Shinjuku, though, and it will take about 30 minutes.

I used to live here: http://www.toshima.ne.jp/~wsvc/Azalea/Azalea.htm
(Azalea House) it was about $700 USD per month.

You can search for lodging based on your own criteria from this site: http://www.sakura-house.com/

Good luck! Life in Tokyo is a blast, I hope you have a great time.
