A. I live in Scottsdale - for almost 7 yrs. Before that I grew up in the West Valley (Glendale, Phx) - I've lived in AZ my entire 33 yrs.
Scottsdale has less people living per...whatever - square mile?? So bc there's less people, the property taxes are higher (but not as high as Paradise Valley!!) . So in come the residents that could afford that. People w/ money like things that are prestigious....good hotels, fine dining, high end shopping. So Scottsdale is now known for being a prestigious area.
When I was growing up it was "Snottsdale".
It isn't like that tho. You have the people who think it proves status & live here in debt...then you have regular middle class families like any other city....then you have the lower-middle class families in south Scottsdale. There are all walks of life here - it's not just the rich hoity-toity. We fall into the middle class bracket. Our home is 25 yrs old, we drive modest cars, we do not spend money left & right.
The prestigious lifestyle gave Scottsdale a reputation. YES we have nice things but it does NOT define the people who live here.

I saw a flash after I went through a intersection in AZ. How do I know it was me?
Q. I was coming home from working a late shift at the W hotel in Scottsdale AZ. I was on Scottsdale rd going southbound and a little after I crossed through the intersection I saw a flash. Not sure if anyone was behind me. I immediately looked at my speed. I was going under the speed limit. I honestly thought "what did I do?". I didn't see a flash in the front. It seemed to come from the side. I was also curious that if it was me, could i go to traffic school if it was a red light? Its very important to me because I am attending Universal Technical Institute, and this could majorly affect my future. Please help. Thank you.
I have to clarify. A dealership will not hire you if you have a moving violation. My school places people in jobs right out of school.

A. After reading several blogs and articles, it appears the cost of the ticket is about $200.00 which can be reduced to about $150.00 if you attend any of the accredited driver improvement courses which are available on line.
My significant other got a ticket that way once. Needless to say when I saw the photographs I was stunned at how well you see tags and drivers and especially the one showing the light red before entering or while inside the intersection!
