How to get the cheapest rates for 5 start hotels in Indonesia, (jakarta and Lombok)?

Q. Comming to Indonesia, would like to know how to get the cheapest rates for 4-5 start hotels. Eg, for Shangrila Jakarta there site quotes me around 900k, can i get this cheaper else where. I heard travel agents in Jakarta airport can offer really great price, if so how much cheaper. PS i will be in Jakarta and Lombok

A. I live in Jakarta and I know there are a few travel agent counter in Jakarta arrival terminal for international flight.

I booked hotel once in the counter for my family of my wife when they arrive in arrival international terminal. They do give discount and it is almost sure cheaper than if you book by yourself with the hotel.

The counter have all hotel list including daily service apartment in Jakarta, so you will have a lot of options.

But several important things you should remember:

1. the counter only open at office hour, you should check your arrival.

2. get the address and phone number of your hotel, and call them by yourself to make sure confirmation with your hotel (regarding the booking). Ensure you call the hotel, in front of the employee counter

3. The counter will give you voucher hotel, do not loose it, show it to reception desk.

4. there is terms and condition with the voucher, ensure you have the information from the counter (such as refund, extend, cancellation etc)

For Lombok, I believe you have to arrive first in Jakarta, after arrive in Jakarta you can book hotel by using travel agent.
Sheraton Lombok is a good hotel in Lombok

Last word, welcome to Indonesia....

How can i get cheap rates for nice hotels near Cedar Point?
Q. im looking for hotels 3 stars and above.
where can i get cheap rates for Kalahari or any other hotel near or in cedarpoint?

A. Hey there!

I often use Priceline to book my hotels and I get an excellent rate. I often book VERY safe 4 star hotels in Midtown Manhattan, right in the center of the city, for $80 per night. They give you a map on which you can select the area where you'd like to stay in any US city.

There is a website which explains all about how to book through Priceline's "Name your own price" program. You may want to check it out and follow the instructions to get the very best deal. If you want a cheap, safe hotel the best way to go is with Priceline's name your own price program.

The site with the instructions is: http://www.CheapInTheCity.com

Looks under the "Save BIG on Hotels" section.

Good luck!

What travle site has the lowest deals for last minute trips?
Q. My great aunt died and my mom is trying to make it to the furneral. She doesn't have a lot of money and we are trying to get the lowest possible rates. She needs to leave from Milwuakee or Madison, WI and fly to Lawton, OK on 4/27/07 to 4/29/07 any time. We thought booking the hotel with the flight would give us cheaper rates but we don't have to. What site do you suggest?

A. The best rate that I found was from Madison to Oklahoma City (a little over an hour drive from Lawton) for $920.00 - the flight was on United and the hotel was the Ramada in Lawton itself. I located this on travelocity.com. Try calling United and see if they can get your mother a bereavement fare - sometimes they will have mercy.

If you know of any regional airlines then check their websites too - I looked at Jet Blue, Southwest and Frontier.
