Cheapest way to spend a month or 2 in Kelowna?
Q. I want to spend about a month or 2 this summer in Kelowna, British Columbia. I'm trying to find out what the cheapest way to do this would be? Where should I stay? Should I rent a room, or just stay in a hotel?
What advice do you guys have for me?

A. There is no cheapest way in here,
most people are homeless in Canada,
You should look in craigslist for a roommate first, and then reserve a room,
Forget about HOTEL, if you don't hate your $,

I am driving from Whistler to Calgary in early Dec, any suggestions on where to stay somewhere midway?
Q. I will be on vacation and I was hoping to find a nice place to stop in between Whistler and Calgary, somewhere half way the two places would be ideal.
I have never visited the area and I am not sure how the roads will be, some peple told me they should be OK, fingers crossed...
Thanks

A. Penticton or Kelowna.
They have lots of hotels and restaurants as they are fair size cities that are use to tourists. It is slightly less than half way, but if you go further you end up in smaller villages in the middle of no where. That leaves you with less amenities and higher prices.
Are you leaving Whistler via Pemberton on Vancouver? If Pemberton, make sure you check out the road conditions fist. Beautiful country, avoids the Vancouver traffic, but very remote and windy mountain roads.
