Does anyone have any experience gettting cheap/discounted hotel rates on the Las Vegas strip?
Q. I don't necessarily mean the Belagio or Caesar's Palace, but someone has to have found a way to get 4-star places like the Excalibur to give you a better rate...? Just thought I'd ask for some advice before charging $1300 for a week's hotel. Thanks!
A. What Bobby said is closest to the real deal. If you're not traveling within the next 30 days, go to some of the websites at the hotels and sign up for their email lists. I get emails a couple of times a week with specials - sometimes they're a good deal, sometimes not. Recently, I was offered NYNY for $69 a night - not so bad, considering their "rack rate" is $149 a night for the time period offered. (I ended up using another emailed deal and got it for $59 a night.)

does any1 know how 2 get a discount package deal on a disney vacation?
Q. 1 adult, 2kids, the best deal i've found so far has been about $1400. I would like to have the dining plan, but is purchasing the dining plan a benefit? We are staying 4 days & we want to visit every theme park, as well as downtown disney & the water parks. Can any1 shed some light?
A. try these websites:
allearsnet.com
mousesavers.com
or do a seach on ebay for Disney Vacation Club or DVC points...
or you can stay in Lake Buena Vista Village at this resort. I found this deal on Mousesavers.com
DoubleTree Guest Suites in the Walt Disney World Resort is the only all-suite hotel in the Downtown Disney area. The suites sleep up to 6 people! MouseSavers.com readers get the best available refundable/changeable rate, plus FREE continental breakfast and 20% off lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant!
This hotel is one of the Downtown Disney resorts, which operate their own bus system to the theme parks. The Downtown Disney buses run all day (from before park opening until after park closing) about every half-hour, and are much better than the transportation offered by most non-Disney resorts around Walt Disney World. (In fact, the buses are more comfortable than Disney's own buses!) However, be aware that the drop-off point is slightly further from the theme park gates than the Disney resort bus drop-off, so there's a little extra walking.
