what is the best hotel in chicago for my 21st birthday party?
Q. I really liked the sybaris, but when i went to make the reservation it didnt list a location in chicago illinois. So i was wondering if there was another hotel that was kind of similar. I really liked the idea of a private pool. And as far as price, ive been saving up for two years now. so its not a problem. but i really need some help with this. so all answers are appreciated.
A. THE PENINSULA CHICAGO
What hotel do visiting teams playing the Chicago Bulls stay at?
Q. I've heard a few people say they stay at the Ritz-Carlton downtown near water tower as well as the Peninsula and the Omni. I just asked someone a few weeks ago and they also told me the Marriott downtown would also be another possibility. Do any of you know where they may stay at?
A. Typically it's the Ritz. Here's a trick. Call reservations, and ask for the teams group rate. If there's a group rate, it's usually on a rooming list, so they can't book it. But they'll tell you it's a rooming list. That means the coach has to book it. That means it's the team, and not just a bunch of fanboys.
If you do meet them, be respectful. Don't walk up to their dinner table and ask for an autograph, unfortunately, if they complain, the hotel will remove you.

What is your favorite resturant in chicago?
Q. my mom and i are going to the peninsula chicago for a special time. we need suggestions on resturants. our hotels on the magnificent mile so i guess ones close to that would be nice. but i just want to know your favorite! and why. it can be a really expensive steak house or a cheap one.
thanks!
thanks!
A. My favorite is Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak, & Stone Crab (Grand & State, 7 blocks away - not to be confused with Joe's Crab Shack!) It is fairly expensive, but worth it. The seafood is very fresh and the service is great. It is run by Lettuce Entertain You. In Chicago that means you're pretty much guaranteed to have a great meal. This would be a great complement to a stay at The Peninsula.
I think you might enjoy these too:
-Bistro 110 (French, right off of Michigan Ave. near the Water Tower, about 3 blocks away)
-Ben Pao (very reasonably priced Chinese, Illinois & Dearborn, 9 blocks away, also a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant)
-House of Blues (go for the Gospel Brunch on Sunday, Kinzie & Dearborn, about 11 blocks)
-Heaven on Seven (Cajun/Southern, Rush & Ohio, 4 blocks away)
-Frontera Grill (James Beard Award-Winning Mexican, Clark & Hubbard, about 11 blocks)
-Ann Sathers (Swedish, best cinnamon rolls in the city, take the red line el to the Belmont stop - 929 W Belmont is on the same block as the station)
I hope this helps. Have fun!
