Can you tell me if the hotel Carlton in Vienna is within walking distance from the historical center?

It is in walking distance to most of the tourist attractions in the center of Vienna, in a quiet side street (not much traffic). KärntnerstraÃe and MariahilferstraÃe - both best known for shopping opportunities are only a few paces away.
From their website it looks like a very nice place with affordable prices. Note that a full buffet breakfast is already included in the rate.

If you want to go e.g. to St. Stephens Cathedral you can either walk (25 minutes) or use the Subway from Karlsplatz (600 m from the hotel) which takes you to St. Stephen's Square in about 2 minutes.

is 3 nights in Vienna for 700PP for flights and hotel, too short or a good deal?
Q. I have the opportunity to book 3nights/4days hotel+flight for 700PP in a 3 star hotel. Is this a good deal or is the flight too long to make the trip worthwhile?

A. I am bit lost, but if we are talking 700 in £ or $ PP (and PP is per person) don't do it! But if we are talking pence and quarters or loose change, yeah... go for it!!!
