Hi Apart from the power cable,what cables do you need 2 take with you when you go 2 a hotel offering WiFi con?

Q. I am going 2 a concert, spending 2 days in London.The hotel is offering 30 minutes of free WiFi, enough 4 me 2 check my email etc. Any advice will b gratefully appreciated

A. WiFi does not require any cabling. It is wireless. If your laptop can connect to WiFi at your home, then you will be able to check it at the hotel.

overseas traveling, is the culture shock really apparent in hotels and resorts?

Q. have you ever traveled somewhere and the hotel offers many things you find odd and nothing that you really were expecting because the culture is so different? im worried of traveling overseas because im nervous of culture shock.

A. In reality hotels and resorts should offer less culture shock because these are places set up for foreign visitors therefore most of them are mostly somewhat neutral, unless you purposely booked some of those that offer local characteristics. It also depends on where you are going. Say if you're from an American big city and travel to London, Paris, you shouldn't be entirely shocked. Traveling to Africa, Middle East, Asia especially to smaller town could really give you a jolt. If you're worried, don't go to exotic places.

Are there any cheaper convenient hotels in London that the LSE?

Q. The cheapest rate I could find was £18.50 per person per night, can you think of any hotels that offer a cheaper rate? I'm not fussy about whether there's a private bathroom, only that it's located in the centre of London.

A. Check Hostelworld.com or hostelbookers.com, you might be able to find a less expensive room in a youth hostel. FWIW though under 20 quid is preposterious cheap for central London.
