How not to get sick in Delhi?
Q. My Boss is sending me to India for a few days next week. Last time I went I got quite sick even though I drank bottled water and only ate in the hotel. How do I protect myself from the famous Delhi Belly?

WHAT TO DO
One Short Drive
A great way to appreciate the capitalâs wide boulevards and tree-lined avenues is to settle into the comfort of your own car and whiz aroundâtraffic permitting of course! We recommend you drive down Rajpath, past the colonial edifice of India Gate, the imposing multi-columned Parliament building and that jewel of Lutyen's Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is home to the President and does not allow visitors.

A. Hi,
delhi government has started a bed and breakfast scheme and many families have signed up to host guests for the initiative. Look at the following link; you can contact any of them directly and ask for the price. I am sure you can find more than one that offer good decent accommodation at the price that you are looking.
Some of them, especially the ones at Sushant Lok, Gurgaon and Ambience, Gurgaon, Safdarjung enclave are reasonably close to the airport.
You can also find lodges in the beginning of NH7 between the domestic airport and before the Radisson hotel. There are a number of small lodges and hotels, which are so-so in terms of convenience and might give you the price, but not necessarily the best that i would go for.
There is one at Vasantkunj against the following link which will give you rooms at $ 20 and are also reasonable and comfortable.
http://www.hostelsweb.com/hostelsweb.com/hostel.php?HostelNumber=15981
on the above site: http://www.hostelsweb.com you can name the country, city, currency and dates and you will find a number of hotels in all parts of the city. As another poster had already mentioned, the ones in Karol Bagh are central (close to connaught place) and reasonable in price and close to markets, good restaurants. Of these, i will recommend - Hotel Classic, Hotel Heritage, Hotel Sun City, Hotel Sunstar, Hotel Southern as being strategically located and not too much in the interiors and close to the metro stations.
Have a great holiday in Delhi
