Q. Why is there an Israeli flag hanging outside the Plaza Hotel in NYC? There is also and American and British flag.
A. I think the Plaza Hotel is currently owned by a real estate company based in Israel. El Ad Properties I think it is.

A. Take the A or C, Train and you'll come out ride outside of the Hotel. Or if you'd rater take the bus, you can catch the M7, on 35th Street and 6th Avenue, it will drop you off on the corner of 60th Street, right in back of the hotel.

You can always try Priceline. I use it all the time and get nice 3 - 4 star hotels right in Midtown Manhattan all the time for $80. You have to "name your own price". There is a web site which tells you the method of getting the very best deal on a high quality hotel room in NYC and explains exactly how to do this with Priceline. Go to the section on "Save big on hotels" or something like that.
